Exeter 4.45

Robin T - Exeter 4.45 Mares Handicap Chase - Class 5 - 3 miles - Heavy - 11 run - Heavy

I feel that in the conditions that both Codeeymore and Whatsdastory are opposable and not great win value and not each way value. Of the remainder, the main danger to my 2 selections may be Inchagoill Lady, who will therefore be my reserve in the event of a non runner. There was improvement and promise over Course and Distance last time.

My selections are HEAD AND HEART who found 3 miles and 5 furlongs at Warwick just too far last time and who lost rhythm over the quirky Course fences and layout. A Distance win in mud though on the penultimate run bodes well and I'll be disappointed if we're not winning this on a return of that sort of form. KINGSMILL GIN is a Course favourite and Jackie Du Plessis does exceptionally well with a small string. A recent season debut should have the horse tuned up and although it would prefer better ground, I feel that the drying wind will allow a run on its merits and will be disappointed if this one isn't in the first three home.
