Ayr 1.50 Handicap Chase - Class 2 - 3 miles 20 yards - 13 run - Good
A market dominated by an Irish runner from the Emitt Mullins yard and although PILBARA has been backed off the boards and the Irish could probably send over a 3 legged donkey at the moment to win our races, I'm keen to take it on.
Plenty of progressive types in here who are in form but who may now just have been "found" by the handicapper and worth taking on. Five Star Getaway who has won off 94> 105>120 is up to a mark 135 and upped in trip. Dublin Four and One More Fleurie are similarly raised after wins although of all of those mentioned so far ONE MORE FLEURIE would be the one I'm most worried about.
Flegmatick would have a decent chance if truly getting the trip but that pair I think could revive here and who would be on very nice handicap marks if they do are THE BUTCHER SAID and DEAD RIGHT.
Both have had problems and poor runs but both have excuses and may find this race slightly more within their current scope. Dead Right has had a wind op and struggled at Cheltenham but enough good form prior to that to forgive the blip and The Butcher Said is on a very nice handicap mark if appreciating the better ground and a bit of Spring warmth.
