Sean - Clonmel 5.20

SEAN - Clonmel 5.20 - Handicap Chase - 2 miles 7 furlongs - 14 run - Yielding

I think they are all running for second place here as the Mullins runner WHISKEY LULLABY looks very strong, if you want to grab anything around 2/1 as a saver then feel free.

At the top end of the market I'm not over enthused by Emancipator on Chase debut, Imperial Sachins, who may need the run or Spare Brakes who tries a new trip at the early prices. SHE'S SOME DOLL is in the Tracker and will be part of the planned L31 bet and I think that's the best route to play on that one who would for me also have a few stamina niggles but possibly the most attractive towards the top end of the market.

As you'd expect at the tail end of the winter NH season there are a few here who owe us a big run!!!

Ciarabello could be running in to a bit of form but flatters to deceive once too often for me, Carnet De Stage will run races but I think more suited to summer ground, may need this run but one I will definitely add to my Tracker to follow. Aherlow from the De Bromhead yard is particularly frustrating as there is clearly ability there. Its been out of form since winning a 3 mile Chase off a mark of 117 in January 2020, its dropped down to a mark of 102 as a result, the better ground here SHOULD enable it to run more to its merits and it is very well handicapped and if you want a 3rd horse in the race worth a bit of shrapnel.

Clonguille Way is another who really has no excuses in these Conditions and a change of Yard may just freshen it up, it can race lazily but ticks the right boxes if on a Going day. Walking The Walk is a very dangerous 1st reserve if getting a run but the market reflects that and he would shorten a lot if getting that run I think.

My pair against the field then for an enhanced place for some each way bets are SEAN SAYS who won at 3 miles and a furlong over Fences at Thurles on Good ground beating Presenting Point who has twice franked that run. Its interesting back on better going here and off a mark of 106 with a 2lbs Claimer is more than a sporting bet. MICK THE JIVER is more speculative. It runs the Course well over Hurdles, has also won a 3 mile Chase and that was off a mark of 126, so tonight's mark of 108 is very appealing. It will need every bit of juice remaining in the ground but off this mark it's hard to ignore.
