A race that may be a little less deep than the 25 runners indicate.

I narrowed it down to around 5 that I was seriously interested in.

Towards the top of the market, I can leave out and happy to take a chance on Mt Leinster Gold (who could be anything) and Guiri at the prices and whilst Fortune Street, The great White, Stand Off and Oscar Thyne are all clearly in form and winners last time out, none of them really jump off the page at me in a race of this type. It's highly probable the winner is mentioned already but I want to explore some bigger priced each way value.

At big odds in would not surprise me if the ex Paul Nicholls horse (5 Flash De Touzaine @ 40/1) who can run prominently and who has proven stamina outran big odds and that may be a horse you'd want a bit of shrapnel on. I narrowly preferred him to Falak who is fit from the Flat and whose career best over Jumps was in this race in 2019, in terms of one for around 1/4 point each way to enhanced places.

My three against the field though are, BAY HILL who come back hurdling off a very appealing mark, is certainly fit enough and who could well thrive on this better ground. I will be disappointed if he's not in the enhanced places at least. The same applies to DIFFICULT DECISION another on a nice mark with proven stamina over this trip and further and who should outrun nice Odds and finally TAKARENGO who can be a frustrating horse who has promised more than he has so far delivered. Another who is well handicapped and no excuses in terms of trip and Going and one who is well overdue the breakthrough win in a race of this type.

The other big field handicaps look tricky season ending affairs and you wonder what's left in the tank for some.

In the Handicap Chase at 7.00 - I will point some shrapnel at Blazer and Fitzhenry both 40/1 (odds to 7th with Sky and 6th to more than enough others) - although I've been doing that all season both are way overpriced here

In the Hurdle at 4.15 - I will have a similar small each way 1/4 point each way investment in Gelee Blanche @ 12/1  and Fest Deiz @ 28/1 (odds to 4th widely available) both of who have been on the Tracker waiting for this ground and big fields..
