Placespotter - Doncaster 1.50 3 Monfass - each way 16/1 (PP + BV) 14/1 (Generally)

Placespotter "I don't often go for Novice races due to the lack of form but an always on

the look out for something that jumps off the page at you. There could be one here with

MONFASS. At first glance a few average Maiden runs but signs of slowly getting the

hang of things. The stand out though is the last run when it best a horse called Dear

Sire; that one came out a few days ago and won a Handicap race off a mark of 117.

When you see that MONASS runs off 105 less a 7lbs Claim here, then you have to

take a long and hard look. The beating of Dear Sire may have been a bit flattering

but it notionally makes this a mark about a stone better than the pure form line

so at 16/1, we simply have to have an each way bash, in a race where nothing

really stands out as a stone cold certainty.
