SEAN - Irish National - Fairyhouse 5.00 - 3 miles 5 furlongs - 21 run - Heavy

 

We could discuss all 21 runners and many have chances but in reality its all about finding the winner and 4 places to enhanced odds and having discarded the likes of Intense Raffles; Any Second Now; Hartur D'Arc; History of Fashion; Favouri DeChampdau; Daily Present and Wheres Frankie in my second draft cull, I was left with 5 of the 21 runners to go to war with and am very comfortable and confident that I haven't left any on the tipping analysis floor to have any real regrets about.

 

In preference order I will go with-:

 

NICK ROCKETT looks laid out for this race by Willie Mullins, kept away from Cheltenham and really they do have high hopes for this horse, it has to prove conclusively that the trip and ground are in his favour but if he is the possible machine they think he is he wins this!

 

YEAH MAN looks stamina laden and should be able to overcome a 7lb penalty for an impressive Haydock win in very deep ground. I will be very disappointed if he's not in the first 3-4 home and in these conditions, an early Easter and a very wet winter / early Spring meaning it's not run on Good or good to Soft which can be the case, means it's a real test suiting stamina over possible speed.

 

WE'LLHAVEWAN is off a feather weight and if Nick Rockett does not oblige for mullins then this one will be a more than adequate second string. It's significant I think given conditions that they have pitched a lower rated but progressive type in here off such a low weight.

 

FRONTAL ASSAULT is possibly the Stables best hope in these conditions and the more I looked to more I fancied his chances, CD winner in 2022 and also placed in The Porterstown off a mar of 139, has come down to a very appealing mark of 135 and gets a 7lbs Claimer and the course form really stands out. Disappointing lately but whether that's by design or fault we'll find out by 10 past 5 !!!

 

STREET VALUE Course and Distance winner of The Porterstown off a mark of 125, runs off 130 here and if repeating that run has to be placed in the first 5 surely?

 

I'll allocate 5 points to the race with a point each way on Nick Rockett, 1/2 point each way on both Yeah Man and We'llhavewan and shrapnel each way on Frontal Asault and Street Value - if you wish to allocate the 5 points differently then please feel free.!
