MICHAEL - Downpatrick 4.00 Ulster National - 3 miles 4 and 1/2 furlongs Handicap Chase - Soft

 

This is a really quirky track, very narrow in places and very much like a big dipper,especially the drop down after the Finishing line.

 

In atritional Conditions FORZA MILAN just strikes me a s the classic plodder who'll be ridden to finish, will get round in his ow time but in the last mile will pass beaten and pulled up horses and could grab an enhanced place not by default but by clever tactics.

 

The Jam Man is is the Tracker and is clearly being primed for something but I'm just not sure what?. Space Cadet on this is 2020 and hasn't really threatened since but any horse that acts here is worth a long look. Fakeira came close to atip but has let us down once too often and I think that another of Elliotts PUNITIVE has got more genuine excuses and could really revive here.   

 

My Design, Wa Wa and Archies Charm  all have stamina questions to answer at shortish prices so the one who really appeals is FIVEAFTERMIDNIGHT especially on a run at Kelso where it ran strongly to and beyond this trip and it carries no weight here and if settling should be right in contention
