Nottingham 3.50
THE ADVISOR - Nottingham 3.50 Handicap - Class 4 - 2 miles - 11 run - Soft (drying)
At the top of the market I've enough concerns about Justus (will probably need the run on past evidence), Coquelicot (NH fit but hard to quantify Flat form) , Haarar (unproven at the trip and not apparently crying out for the sticky conditions) and Tuddenham Green (best over Hurdles so far) to leave them alone and to try to take them on.
This is a real galloping Track and whilst a few at bigger prices like Caldwell and Jon Snow caught the eye and may well outrun their Odds, I was left with a short list of 4 horses.
I think DE VEGAS WARRIOR who has decent form in soft ground in Ireland and who seems to be better the further its gone and ORIN SWIFT who has winning form first time out and who handles at least Good to Soft have very solid claims and would be 3rd and 4th rated in that Order.
I'm most keen though on BYRON HILL who is fit from the Jumps, has a Course and Distance win and who gets a handy 6lbs pull from TIN FANDANGO for a 7 length defeat last season is a bit over-priced. TIN FANDANGO though has a good record on Soft and Heavy Going, can and has run well enough fresh and who has the capable assistance of Hayley Turner, who'll know every blade of grass on one of her local Tracks. Those pair stand out for me at ncice e/w Odds currently.
TIPS - (1) Byron Hill / (2) Tin Fandango
