Bath 4.53

A fair few in here would have solid chances and I haven't lightly discounted the pair of market leaders who fought out a 1-2 finish in the opening Flat season Meeting at Doncaster in Big Bear Hug and Destinado. Exactly how strong that form is overall is hard to gauge but I am happy to take them on with 3 other horses rated stronger and better value in my analysis. Chantico is AW fit and has some soft turf form so is a genuine danger, Cavauccio has top weight and they add cheek pieces and a tongue tie, so it will have every chance, Fazayte made a very belated Turf flat debut as an 8 year old is NH fit and may be very well handicapped off a mark of 70 and is both the hardest to fathom and the notional reserve should a selection be a non runner. Taritino is another who cannot be completely discarded.
My selections though are LOUGHVILLE a light raced filly from the Alan King yard who are focussing more and more on Flat Racing as he can't compete now with some of the big Owners over the Jumps, it's best form is at this trip on soft at Sandown and it certainly is an unexposed horse with probably more scope than any of these and a big run is anticipated. MEASURED MOMENTS is AW race fit, will be fine on turf in these conditions at the trip and looks the best each way value to me in the race. CHESTER TONIK just got the shrapnel nod over Fazayte as it has won and placed form at this distance off marks of 60 and 64, including in soft conditions and just looks over-priced in the current market off a mark of 64 with a 5lbs Claimer.
Tips (1) Loughville / (2s) Measured Moments / (3s) Chester Tonik
