Tuesday 6th February

Good Morning

It really is "dire racing" today; Market Rasen is ON but the only really interesting punting race is the 3.25; we await news from
Sedgefield who inspect about now, signs look good, quality is awful but there may be a couple to have a small punt with. We
won't even countenance Southwell, I guess the only interest there is will Mr Furtado send the right horse and will his cousin

Nelly be there to watch, or maybe the Title of her last album is a clue?....I digress.

We now have a second Inspection at Sedgefield, track is OK but light snow falling and more on way....so I suggest you
hold bets until you know if Sedgefield is ON, if it is proceed with Patent; if not £3.50 on the Market Rasen pick each way!
We cannot "hand on heart" formally tip anything with full confidence today but have hopes that these 3 in a small each way
Patent may offer a bit of fun for a modicum of profit, a 50p each way Patent perming singles; doubles and a treble would cost

£7.00, and frankly, that would be the limit of my spending today, better to wait for better options ahead, weather permitting.

Here are the 3 we'll have a dabble with-:

SEDGEFIELD 1.40 4 WOLFSLAIR @ 14 - 16/1 - won a race in Ireland; was with Gordon Elliott; proven stamina for trip and has
handled Going, price is the attraction as these are a motley crew. Spin The Coin may be from McCain yard but surely that's only
reason for the 2/1, no real form and nothing came out of its P2P races at all. Ange De Malbereux is CD winner but on Good and
is probably the more likely of the market leaders to win, but no value at 4/1. Fiddlers Flight will plod round and may place and
Final Reminder has had support but again its P2P form amounts to nothing, was on Good ground and trainer form remains a

concern; the rest are even more moderate, a Tricast would be ADM; Fiddlers Flight and Wolfslair.

SEDGEFIELD 4.20 5 HOUNDSCOURT @ 5/1 - runner up in this last year off a mark of 85; runs off 83 here and a much better
horse over these Hurdles than fences. A lot have collateral form and whilst The Delray Munky is warm favourite; is up a mile
in trip and 7lbs and we will look for place value, not that there is much. Broadway Belle , Turtle Cask and Agent Louise have
slithers of form but the trip and Going don't seem ideal for any of them and Poetic Presence is likely to make it a test of stamina;
I have a hunch one day they will ride that more sensibly and it will storm home; so if you want a tricast have PP and

Houndscourt with Broadway Belle.

MARKET RASEN 3.25 3 NICELY INDEED @ 16-18/1 - probably the most confident of the 3 picks; best race of the day yet
you have to take Board Of Trade fitness on trust, if it is fit goes VERY close on past runs; Craggaknock is the favourite;
it best form is at 2 miles, and as an ex Flat horse I think trip will stretch it. Future Security has French form to win this
but previous best UK form was on Good Going, another danger and concerns about well handicapped Generous Day
and Master of Finance are all about the step up to this trip on this Going, MOF has also had a wind op as recently as

2nd January and as I keep banging on, recuperation and missed work mean I think 8-10 weeks is better to see any benefit.

NICELY INDEED may be one of the outsiders but yard in form, runner up at trip in Heavy at Ayr albeit in a Class 5 and
was well clear that day, beaten only by Global Stage now rated 132, and Nicely Indeed given time and patience is running
off a eye watering mark of 115 here and is a sporting suggestion on that strict form analysis.
