Barry Nicholls - Wincanton 1.50 3 Gulshanighans @ 5/1 / 9 Demographic @ 8/1 - both 1/2 point each way

Mr Fickle is a strong favourite for the opener at Wincanton but his name rather pinpoints
his personality, a nice winner last time out, but by no means bomb-proof here and a
look at the form suggests not always comfortable right handed. Gary Moore is a handicap
rogue of the highest order, and his horses can often flatter to deceive, often when outside
of their Surrey/Sussex axis and comfort zone. GULSHANIGANS is solid and consistent;
deserves a win and has found a couple of improvers in 2 recent runs to beat him. It
is interesting Sam T-D rides for his dad today and trip is fine with enough cut in the
ground to offer no excuses. At 5/1 solid each way material. There are a couple we looked
at very closely Lapala is very interesting and one for the "summer jumping note-book"
4th here last time, form franked since but to 100 days off just puts us off, and may just
need the run, and Demographic was a CD winner off 100 in the Autumn on Good;
confidence knocked since by a fall but probably the best alternative place value in the
race at 8/1 or higher, on the basis Lapala might just be being readied for something
in a few weeks time and being tuned up today.
