A mile and a half Class 6 and a surprising aspect of many recent Thirsk races at this trip has been the
advantage seemingly held by a high draw. Most logic would dictate that round a left hand anti-clockwise bend (twice) that
a low draw would be a big asset, but not recently. I am not sure of the reasons why; would offer the thought that those drawn
low go off too quickly to "get a position" and that those drawn high, tuck in, get a slip stream down the back off the bridle;
and then have plenty left in the straight??.. I was immediately drawn therefore to DRUIDS DIAMOND in stall 17 and
FOUR KINGDOMS drawn in Stall 16. DD is race fit from Flat and Hurdling and should be a Tricast cert but in terms of
value and also proven ability on the Flat at this trip, I want to take him on for the win. FOUR KINGDOMS is from an in
form yard; had a run at Doncaster (stone last); won at this trip on the AW and I remember his win at Yarmouth as it

was against a horse I had a then small interest in (Sexy Secret). I see him as a MENTION in this race and in Tricast Perm.

The draw though may not apply so readily at Class 6; how many Class 6 horse can race "off the bridle" so I went in search
of something with a bit of scope and may be hidden form - KINGS COINAGE finished 2-1 in 2 races last Spring in these
kind of conditions for Ed Walker. A move to Ruth Carr has not apparently been a success BUT he is back down to a winning
mark ; has had a run and lurks very quietly at a nice price, in stall 8 where he has scope to "lay up" or race more prominently.
DYNA MITE is a Course and Distance winner off a mark of 54; and also has won at Beverley, so no stamina concerns;
has had an AW run and off a mark of 53 and drawn in 6, could be another with a bit of form hidden under a bushel.
