Tuesday 8th July
We didn't have the success yesterday we'd hoped for with a solitary placed run at Ayr.
There are Cards today in the UK at Pontefract (where we looked long and hard at the 4.40 race; Uttoxeter (where similarly we had a long look at the 7.00 race) and at Lingfield Park on the Turf Track. There is also a Meeting at Brighton with very limited runners and an Irish Meeting at Tramore.
The races we looked at at Pontefract and Uttoxeter with 9 runner and 10 runner fields respectively, very tight markets in both races with over 50% of the runners priced at 8/1 or lower, so minimal each way value and very tight fields with nothing really standing out as confident each way value.
The one race we've looked at where we have a quietly confident each way punt is the 2.25 at Lingfield, a 3 year old Handicap, where the majority make Handicap debut.
