Sunday 22nd June

Good Morning;

Very good runs in The Wokingham yesterday from Ten Pounds 3rd at 18/1 advised at 33/1 and Holkham Bay 4th at 28/1 advised 16/1 and a gallant 7th, just missing enhanced places for Apollo One who raced very prominently at 40/1. That rather summed up the week, with 4-5 runners up / third placed, who went very close at double figure Odds none more so that Frost At Dawn advised at 80/1 on the opening day. We had 4 winners, the best of which price wise was Adreshia at 10/1. A "nearly week" where the cloud of sadness hung very much over us all at the beginning and whilst it has lifted with realisation and a busy week, the reality that we are now bereft of an excellent Tipster and an outstanding man, sinks in.

We will regroup in Ireland, we will be attending Funeral and Wake and the special Wake being lined up for the middle of July, and then and only then will we consider our Irish options. In the interim, Michael will cover anything he feels confident in covering, so we ask you to bear with us.

--------

There is potentially some good Flat and Jump racing in the coming week and some rain that is falling and expected to fall in some parts will definitely ease the Going and as and when we can we will be in hot pursuit of winners and placed horses.

The Cards today offer very little, 38 runners spread over 7 races at Pontefract, a 10 runner maiden Hurdle that we considered at Hexham but where is is impossible to find anything at a price with confidence and a Maiden Stakes race at Ffos Llas with 11 runners, but with too little known form to make a serious judgement on.

We will therefore abstain for the day and come back fresh tomorrow with Jon in the chair.
