Saturday 5th July

We were a shade unlucky in the first of the two tip races at Doncaster yesterday, Sharon Curly ran a bold race from a prominent position, went clear and looked to be the winner but was just grabbed close home. Mayo County went with the pace and ran well for a long way, just fading in the closing stages and definitely one to TRACK and follow perhaps back slightly in trip. Unfortunately the strongly fancied East Tyron was a non runner in the other race, that left us with a couple of long-priced more speculative types who whilst not disgraced were not in realistic contention from a fair way out.

A lot of Racing today but not too many qualifying big field handicaps, the ones that stand out are the main venues of Sandown and Haydock including The Old Newton Cup, which has been a decent race for us a few times in the past.
