The AW Northumberland Plate Card at Newcastle is one of the few AW Cards we actually look forwards to, that wasn't always the case as it did take us some time to come to terms with the fact this was once one of the great Turf Races and Turf Race days, but with generally small fields and Firm ground all month, it is very welcome to see a cracking Card of big field handicaps.

 

We will attack 3 Handicaps at Newcastle calling on our AW and Northern expert who believes he has found a nice mix of turf and AW form lines and form at the Course and on the surface (Tapeta). We'll also have a bash at the closing 17 runner handicap on the York Card.
