Friday 4th July

A very disappointing outcome for us at Perth yesterday but a 3rd and 4th (enhanced) at Yarmouth, both at nice e/w prices where the market leaders came home 1-2, was a decent return.

There are just 46 runners in 7 races at Sandown today, 35 in 6 at Newton Abbot and 35 in 6 at Bangor, and whilst the Jumpers at Newton Abbot and Bangor on Dee are understandably reluctant of running on the firm summer ground, it once agai raises the question of how much longer can the BHA waste Fixtures at poorly subscribed M25 Tracks, whilst other parts of the UK would get fat more Entries and interest in the sort of prize money the North and Midlands are starved of.

We looked at Haydock but there are far better options there tomorrow, the final race at Beverley was considered but very competitive so we will focus on a couple of handicaps at Doncaster with 13 runners in both and some speculative punts in the one that the Tipster is very confident about.
