Michael has picked and already covered ROARING FORTIES above. My pair are CHRISTMAS TWENTY; I am still recalling that winter
run at Sedgefield when we advised it at 50/1 and it was unlucky to only place at 33/1. It has not been great since BUT this move up to
2 miles 6 furlongs is likely to suit a horse who started in 3 mile P2P's; it is one paced and can lose interest but the lad on him knows
him and I don't want "egg on my face" on the day it pops up again to win or place and looking at the race; it could benefit from a likely
decent pace. I called in to Newton Abbot yesterday as we are sponsoring a race there in August and September and I just wanted to
drop off some advertising logos for the banners they prepare. I was struck by how long the turf was but they can leave it long there
and it is possible they may have taken the mower round later in the day. I also saw a Tim Vaughan horse box arrive. The old adage is
"always back the first horse you see" In the 5,25 he runs GLIMPSE OF GOLD. I'm not doing this though just because I saw it; LOL;
having got home; looked at the form and this Good Going is what it has been crying out for and with odds to 4th and around 16-20/1
well worth a small poke on the best of its good ground form last season, and it looked plenty fit and well to me when it got out of the box.
