The most picturesque and quirky Track I've ever been to and well worth a visit!

 

Course specialists can never be ignored here nor can those small number of jockeys who seem to excel.

 

At the top of the market An Taillur who has won or placed in its last 8 completed starts going from a mark of 91 to 129 in the process runs off a mark of 134. The sheer law of averages compels me to take it on. Ask Paddington for Rebecca Menzies has placed and won over 2 and a half miles but steps up in trip here considerably and it's Coure form suggests it's not exactly enamoured with the place. Coolbane Boy will be a danger for Sandy Thompson having won and placed since arriving from Ireland but makes Course debut and that just put me off. Wbee won 5 in a row from marks starting on 101 and ending on 128, didn't deliver last time and off a mark of 131 and a whopping 18lbs above a Course and Distance win here last year, has to be feared but you'd think the handicapper has finally got its measure.

 

Bronson in Blue is the obligatory Irish raider who could make its Irish form look silly and hose home, if you are the type that wants to cover those with a few quid on the exchanges, I won't put you totally off. No Hiding Place at BIG odds is an ex Henderson horse who has been lightly raced by local maestro Jimmy Moffat and one who you know could suddenly fire into life too.

 

I can't get away from Moffats other runner though NATIVE FIGHTER whose recent record here is 1-3-3-1 over trips from 2 miles up to this extended 3 miles. Charlotte Jones who must know every blade of grass and the shortest way round here is worth half a stone here and rides off a mark of 124 less here Claim and a recent blow out on the Flat can't be overlooked either.

 

The other one who caught the eye was GIOVANNI CHARGE for the in-form Mark Walford with Brian Hughes booked, its more speculative but could run well at this trip and if taking to the place looks e/w value.
