Punchestown 6.05 -: A complex puzzle and not helped by a horse who I really like IFYOUCATCHMENOW being 2nd reserve, I think the simplest way to play him is a 1/2 point each way IF there are non runners and he gets in, staking late near the off time.

 

I am keen to see THREE MUSKETEERS back at 3 miles and think that one has a big chance here but my pair against the field are ELWOOD a steady improver since coming over from France who arrives here somewhat unexposed and relatively fresh and with the best big race big field jockey on board. The other one is more speculative and is MORMON who I think is over-priced considerably. Has some nice Course form when a runner up in a decent big field Handicap earlier in the season and this is something of a specialists track. The Claiming jockey takes 7lbs off and is well worth a claim and could run big race to an enhanced place.

 

Elsewhere on the Card I think the best each way value may be Kilutagh Vic in the Stayers at 5.30 a race where it is hard to fathom who may be "over the top" for the season and who may still have some gas in the tank.
