Friday 19th April

A decent enough effort from Golden Glance and Not Now Linda to place at Cheltenham yesterday in a race where we again saw what a criminally underused talent Bryony Frost is, those who deliberately shun here should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves. Less joy at Newmarket, but some very interesting pointers for the big meetings there in the coming weeks in the big same age Races to come.

There is the first day at Ayr today with the Scottish National tomorrow and we'll target a competitive Handicap Hurdle race today, we'll watch and take not of Flat Meetings at Newbury and Bath, we did look closely at both Irish Jump Fixtures and a decent Fontwell Card, but nothing really stands out, so we'll wait for Exeter tonight and a competitive Handicap Hurdle where we want to have a quietly confident tilt against the early markets. We certainly hope to pick up some useful Going and Track data for both Ayr and Newbury tomorrow.
