Thirsk 4.05 3 Muntadab - @ 13/2 (Captain Dion)

A 6 Furlong Class 3 Sprint and I was able to narrow it down to 4-5 horses, Classic Seniority was appealing

but not quite sure about this being the ideal trip and like Related, I don't think the Handicap mark is particularly appealing.

The Armed Man has outstanding form over Course and Distance and is clearly upwardly mobile, but this is a significant

step up in Class against better horses and a full stone or more above where it started the winning run. That leads me to

MUNTADAB a Course and Distance winner off 87 over 7 furlongs, comfortable at 6 furlongs and from an in form yard.

This is easier and a Grade down from the norm and not disgraced a few times in some hot races recently. The draw

in stall 12 would have been great here in the past, not ideal now but there is some pace on that side and has too good a

chance on some early season form to ignore here.

There may also be a bit of value for those that want a back up horse, at 16/1 Captain Dion could try to make all and

although seen by some to be an AW horse, has won on turf, will appreciate the drying ground and is 3 lengths better

off than likely favourite Red Pike, who ran very well last time but does not look great value to the prices here; so for

those that like a second horse at nice odds, Captain Dion could just slip the field and be the one they are all chasing

Stake 1 point each way on MUNTADAB and if you want a second bet 1/2 point on Captain Dion.
