Snow has melted at Taunton helped by overnight rain and it is likely conditions will be very testing. There is no out and out mud lover in the 4.15 race over just short of 3 miles and a distinct lack of proven stamina from many of the field. LE BOIZELO would seem to be the one with most potential and the likes of Uhlan Bute; Bramble brook and Silverhow will be strongly fancied, as will the Nicholls horse but a couple with significant experience in such conditions catch my eye.

 

VICE ET VERTU ran in this race last year placing. Lightly raced this term and still a few pounds higher in the handicap than ideal but Paddy Brennan has a great skill in placing a horse in the right place at right time in this type of race and 3 miles on a relatively flat track looks ideal for the horse. It has won and 3 miles and on heavy and not many have that stamina and Going combination. Another who is consistent and may be needs a few pounds back from the handicapper but rarely runs a bad race is FOX APPEAL you can make more than a case on past and present form and likely to have a sporting each way chance at decent Odds.
