Pontefract 2.00

Pontefract 2.00 9 Jacobs Pillow @ 6/1 / 10 Miningold @ 9/1 - both each way (Skybet odds to 4th)

A trappy 5 furlong sprint, the Going looks to be Good, basically dry with just the chance of a small
shower around noon. The draw bias here can be a n absolute nightmare. Every now and again there is a real low
draw bias, but usually that is on extremes of Going, more often you will see hold up horses drawn in the middle of the
field, coming with a withering late run up the hill. There is scope in the market to cover both options and of those drawn
very low JACOBS PILLOW ticks all the boxes. He was runner up last time out, from a yard I have a lot of time form and
a mark of 68 is just about perfect. Danny Tudhope will hope to ping him out and take the shortest route home.

There are a few in with live chances, Boundsy is a horse of real potential but I don't think the price offers great value;
it runs here for the first time and I have a view may already be better suited to6 furlongs. Oriental Splendour is in fine
form but  a delve back shows that a mark of 73 could be problematical, Market Choice is the biggest danger I think to
my chosen pair off a nice mark of 72 and back at 5 furlongs but I will just pass it over in favour of MININGOLD; the yard
is in great form, the handicap mark is now well within win range and drawn in stall 6 I think it can just get a run on
Market Choice and arrive late, hopefully with only Jacobs Pillow to contend with on the line!
