Lingfield 3.50

Lingfield 3.50 - The Surrey National attracts a bumper field and is a "Bit of a pin job" in terms of form. There is likely to be a decent pace here with the likes of Greyed A and Pearl Swan prominent but I have doubts about stamina about either unless they can slip the field. The danger of picking an out and out plodder in such a race is they can get detatched and pulled up losing interest and I dont think this will be tactical, more attritional. Ballymalin could run well off this mark and I would not be surprised to see a better run from LAC SACRE but the one who catches the eye after 2 warm up runs is KILCULLEN FLEM. It is proven at 4 miles, likely to be aimed at something like The Eider Chase by Northern connections, but would need to be winning or placing in this type of race to get a high enough mark to get in to that better quality type of race. Has had 2 runs so should be fit, fresh enough after a 3 month break and one to follow whatever happens today as a Spring Chaser on past evidence.
