An interesting field of 14 and I was left with a short list of 5 horses.

 

Dream Together is an obvious favourite, but at around 7/2, I'm not totally convinced it'll handle the Soft going here and for that reason feel obliged to take it on.

 

Al Qahwa is a big danger to my selections and could be very well handicapped in ideal conditions. Always an Autumn horse but I just have a hunch this is a prep for Ayr in a few weeks time and for that reason I just side-step today, gutted if it bolts up but a risk to take. Madrinho is another who gets conditions but just on the wrong side of the handicapper I think.

 

I think everything drops right for UGO GREGORY though today. David Allen rides for the in form Tim Easterby, nice mark, perfect Going, draw is fine , really no excuses at all and decent enough each way price. Another who gets conditions is STALLONE who has the benefit of Course specialist Richard Kingscote up, I'm looking for a real return to form here and again, runs out of excuses under these conditions.
