A few in here may find the last furlong a struggle even round this easy track. HOPE IS HIGH has won at the trip, won on Good to Soft, has won at this time of year and is on a steadily decreasing handicap mark and this may be it's easiest opportunity in a while. I think ideally it needs to come back down in to the high 60's but the very astute Trainer books a top jockey and 8/1 looks real each way value. It is one we will track and I would be disappointed if we did not get a bit of place money at least. Sellingallthetime is something of a Course specialist, usually rock solid to run to this kind of mark and could be handy forecast material.

WORCESTER 5.15 3 Quite By Chance @ 9/1 (12/1 early with Paddy Power) - 1/4 point each way

A competitive Chase over almost 3 miles and not hard to find positives and negatives about all of them. The best course of action therefore is to assess value and at anything from 9-12/1 I don't think there is better value in the race than QUITE BY CHANCE for a sporting dabble. It drops slightly in Class, has tactical speed for shorter, has proved stamina over longer and if it can get a nice tow in to the race, the long straight and relatively easy portable fences should suit it ideally. It is fine on Good or Good to Soft and should be perfect jumping ground here; it has dropped to it's best handicap mark for 2 years, ran well at Newton Abbot the time before last and getting in to a very nice handicap range now. Again, I'll be disappointed if place money is not the least we enjoy.

I looked at the 4.40 at Musselburgh but could not see beyond Bodacious Name and Braes of Lochalsh, but can't split the pair and prices don't really allow a small dutch, so may be a reverse forecast, and in the 4.55 at Lingfield, after torrential rain on Sunday, I'd have to fancy MAROC but at 3/1 can't be a serious tip in such a poor field.
