At Hamilton in the 3.20 No 6 ONE BOY jumps out of the Tracker and won this race last year and gets a few pounds pull with the runner up who opposes again. It won that day off a mark of 64, backed that up with another win off 70 later in the season, and after a few runs on unfavoured firmer Going arrives here off a very juicy mark of 61. It is being nibbled at although plenty of 8/1 available as I write and even 7/1 would seem good value.

We mentioned Marjorie Fife last week and she had a placed runner yesterday we referred to but did not tip, she runs RULER OF THE NILE in the 4.20 and 20-22/1 seems fair as it steps markedly down in trip. It has been running OK to this point over 2 miles and if ever you are going to play a stamina card over a shorter trip, it is here. What most intrigues though is the opposition in a field of 11. There are 2 unexposed 3 year olds at the head of the market, then 4 coming off long breaks; 3 coming from Ireland with hard to quantify form and finally a declared runner who ran yesterday. There may be some "soft place money" to be had here and with the focus on the Yard and the price, worth a small investment.

I've mentioned TOPMEUP at the top of the mail, VERSIFIER is a horse we used to have a small slither in and runs at Newton Abbot in the 7.30. I'm surprised though they have dropped in trip and more likely sorts from Fergal O'Brien and Olly Murphy and an Ian Williams lurker, look better betting propositions, so we can't sadly tip Versifier tonight.
