Ripon 4.05 9 Mixboy - 1/2 point each way @ 20/1 and Ladbrokes + Coral + SkyBet all going odds to 4th place.
This horse is a Class 5 Course and Distance winner and also a fair National Hunt performer. It could get outclassed here and may well do so but it intrigues me that the horse is well drawn and likes to race prominently and the Course form is a big advantage. It is very much an undulating track, not as extreme as Chepstow, but I have heard it said more than one that the bumps and hollows are like traffic lights, meet the first one right and you are OK otherwise very hard to get a horse balanced. IF the horse can get in to a rhythm up front, with proven stamina and ground not conducive to a "finishing kick" it may well hang on for a place at nice odds.
