It is Monday and that means Ayr and Windsor and I could list 10-12 horses, all with chances in mainly low Grade fare. One of those days when you "stick" and see half you Tracker win or "twist" and see half your betting bank vanish down the plug hole. I'm reminded by what Alan said in one of his articles last week, on such days ignore the 10/1 winner you may have had and focus on the 16 who you did have and who lost. WISE words!

A couple catch the eye enough to have a small punt. In the2.30 at Ayr LET RIGHT BE DONE is off a mark that is spot on its last 2 wins (admittedly it does not win very often but this is Class 6) and off 45 can be competitive. The Trainer is on record as saying it is best when runs are close together, once winning after a poor run the day before, the Going will be in its favour for the first time this season, and in a moderate field at around 10-12/1 I think good enough value to be interested. (I have a horse called Rocley Point in the tracker who runs in this, it went in after a decent AW run in February, I can't see it being effective on softish Turf but one to keep an eye on, as it seems a strange track/Going to come and run on?).

The best race on the Ayr Card is the 4.00 and I am quite sweet on John Quinn's SPEED COMPANY, the Trainer form is its biggest asset but in a tough little race a few other points to note. It is down in Class and tis would be its easiest assignment for a while, it is back below its last win mark courtesy of those runs against better horses and the jockey (Phil Makin) has been on board for some of its best runs and RPR's. It has won on Good Going, won't mind Good to Soft and this would easily be its best chance this summer. Many dangers of which Nicholas T may be the biggest.

I gazed  briefly at Goninodaethat and Corton Lass in the 5.00 ; The Racing Post says "this race is a pin job" and that's probably the most accurate comment in any Newspaper about anything in the UK today. I just know one of those will "pop up" at some point soon, it may be today, so the "lucky pound" I found in the street last week will go on a 50p reverse forecast and if that comes off I will invest all the winnings on EuroMillions and book my flight to some exotic Island!

Finally at Windsor, I can't split Lightning Charlie and Human Nature in the 7.15, but as this is a track where I simply never find anything, probably best left to a 33/1 shot and as I indicated, expect the Going at Newton Abbot to possibly catch a few of the genuine Summer Good to Firm ground types out.
