Royal Ascot 5.35

Placespotter - Royal Ascot 5.35 Golden Gates Handicap - Class 2 - 1 mile 2 furlongs - 16 run (3 year olds)

The heavy Going will favour a few but by no means all and interesting too to look at the pedigree lines here to try to find some proven stamina and soft ground profiles.

Mark Johnson's KING FRANKEL is the one they all have to beat but the memory of the greatest Flat horse of modern times looking a mere mortal only when encountering heavy Going puts me off.

Seasett has best form at 1 mile but form on soft and heavy and will be a big danger as will Baton Rouge who may put behind recent disappointments for A P O'Brien with probably better still to come.

The one who stands out for me though is the younger O'Briens horse VISUALISATION who has won on soft and heavy over 1 mile, not stopping either time and a nice 12 furlong profile via the Dams side, you either like it this deep or you don't and I think at the price a cracking each way bet.

TIP - Visualisation.
