There is clear evidence that the best place to be drawn at Ripon is either very high (marginally the best) or very low.

I will always look at Sprint races there with that in mind and also a look at Course form if any. The Going is Oficially

Good to Soft, it is dry and windy, but I doubt it will turn to Good or indeed to Soft based on forecast.

There are a couple of well supported horses tipped by all of the right people (Pipers Note and Flying Pursuit);

I get both and I fear both as both are well handicapped and Course specialists but I think there are a couple

less fancied who are better handicapped.

SCRUTINEER may be top weight but off a mark below 100 has always been a serious contender, at home with

some cut in the ground, gets stall 10 but with 3 non runners that's 10 of 11 actual runners and with the excellent

Silvestre De Souza booked, looks over priced and therefore excellent value at 10/1.

On the other side, to hedge the draw bias is SHARED EQUITY another very well handicapped, needs cut

and looks ready to strike, slight concern over the Trainer form, but does also look over-priced.

We will have 1/2 point each way on each and just hope for some luck in running.
