Beverley 3.15

Beverley 3.15 3 Navarone @ 10/1 / 1 Intense Style @ 10/1 (1/2 point each way each)

The 3.15 over just short of a mile at Beverly intrigued me as I started off by looking at proven Course
performers like Talent Scout (upped slightly in grade here); Relight My Fire (nice mark but doesn't really inspire) and
also the unexposed Equiano Springs. However; whenever you look really deeply at a race you find unexpected options;
and in NAVARONE and INTENSE STYLE a couple of horses who have disappointed recently but who we can make
strong cases for. The crux of the confidence in both is two fold, (a) both will handle the soft Going better than most
and (b) both are eased considerably in grade, off handicap marks they have won off in the not too distant past.Add
in the fact that Navarone is a 3 year old with potential latent scope still trained by Richard Fahey and that Intense

Style is trained by Course specialist Les Eyre and the prices really do look very interesting so 1/2 point each way on both.

Finally, I like to look for some Point 2 Point Form in early season Novice Hurdles as
I remain convinced that this (as opposed to Flat or even NHFlat form) is the way to go. In the opener at Warwick 1.50
therefore the Christian Williams horse CAP DU NORD is one I will have a few bob on each way (couple of pounds);
as it has a decent P2P run in Ireland and although limited some of the collateral form of those the beat it and finished
behind it, looks far more promising than some of these ex Flat horses seeing out 2 miles in soft Going here.
