Ayr 3.25

Ayr 3.25 Handicap Hurdle - Class 5 - 3 miles 70 yards - 12 run - Soft

This race appears to lack real depth and a decent look at all 12 runners indicates that to the full.

The top 4 in the market though don't inspire great confidence.

Espoir Moriviere is the obvious favourite and if fit and ready to go would be an obvious winner. If 5/2 floats your boat for a win saver take it, but it wouldn't be a confident tip as the horse may need the race. I think that the price of Fame and Hope is completely down to the Jockey booking and he is one of those who can literally carry a poor horse over the line in a poor race like this, First One D'Ana has some half decent Irish form and the new Trainer is showing himself to be very adept with such types, of the four he's probably the one I'd put a few bob on if he was an each way price and finally Aheadfullofdreams comes a long way, but would probably be double the price if Skelton wasn't the Trainer.

Tucked away right near the bottom of the market though is OUR CILLA place twice at this kind of trip in the past 18 months off marks in the mid 80's and likes some cut in the Ground. Has had a couple of non descript Flat runs over 2 miles so fitness doesn't have to be taken on trust and runs off a mark of 81. I can't find anything more likely to run a place in the rest of the field and most of them look a lot less likely, so I've had a small bet myself at 50/1 with Corals in the past 15 minutes to back my hunch. I'll be disappointed if it's not in the front 6 and from there I'll take my chances.
