EPSOM ICON may be the overlooked horse in a competitive Fillies race at Sandown at 2.30;
the clear and obvious favourite is Persuasive and several others like her step up in Class;
with good Handicap form. The selection is a proven C1 Group 3 horse though and one of the
few in the race proven on softer Going, should conditions deteriorate. Mick Channon is
having a great season now that he has taken over again from his son after a few years
fighting illness and one suspects fatigue, and this weight/mark gives Epsom Icon every chance.
