Barry Nicholls - Fairyhouse 3.55 4 Hatton Cross @ 8/1 each way (see detailed notes re Enter The Red @ 6/1)

The 3.55 at Fairyhouse is a 6 furlong Sprint on "Soft to Heavy" - the Irish Going descriptions
differ from the Mainland so safe to assume it is going to suit horses with proven form with
a fair amount of cut in the ground. The draw bias is not a massive factor but does suit those
drawn low to middle, more often than not, and it is a Course where proven Course form

and experience is an asset, if you have gone well here before, likely to do so again and again.

Hatton Cross should be very competitive off a mark of 65, less a 2 pounds Claim, goes well
for decent apprentices and is solid and consistent. The Going holds no fears and it has
run well on a number of occasions at Fairyhouse in big field races over this trip and has
rarely lacked stamina in the closing stages of any 6 furlong race, on any Going. The
low draw is an added bonus and it looks sure to give us a good run with a decent break
and luck in running. The main danger is Enter The Dragon; who has a similar profile
but less Course experience and if you want a back up that would be the one although
we will proof only Hatton Cross and record only Hatton Cross as an actual tip.
