No SP2A Tips Today

There is plenty of racing today but, a mass of "same age 2 and 3 year old races stacked with promise and potential but precious little actual form" and all of the "all age" Handicaps that we would usually attack; seem to be smallish fields, many with less than 8 runners.

We looked closely at the 4.00 at Haydock and the 9.20 at Carlisle (amazing how mid summer has crept up on us so quickly, won't be that many races held at/after 9.20pm); but they really are moderate affairs and anything we would pick with even remote confidence is short priced.

We have a couple of tracker horses "one in last chance saloon" in Mulligatawny in the 3.10 at Ripon and one who ran better last time out in Mutadaffeq in the 7.15 at Carlisle; but neither warrant a tip or a mention at restricted odds, and another one in "last chance saloon" is Beverley Bullet in the 9.20 at Carlisle but the seemingly car park draw, scuppers any punt I think today on that.

Best then I think to "draw stumps" as there is no point wasting "bank money" on whims and fanciful fancies, and there are and will be far more confident pokes over the next few days. We have said many times, mitigating losses is just as important to the bottom line as optimising winnings; and on such days as this, patience is most definitely a virtue.

Back tomorrow and looks a far better Betting day.
