GRAVY TRAIN Saturday 5th August

Goodwood 1.50 1 George Bowen @ 14/1(1/2 point each way)  / 17 Scorching Heat @ 7/1 (most bookies pay odds to 5th place)

Goodwood 2.25 1 Soldier In Action @ 12/1 / 14 Getback In Paris @ 8/1 (both 1/2 point each way - odds to 4th place)

PLEASE NOTE THAT DUE TO A SMALL TECHNICAL ISSUE WITH Gravy Train Blog - this has been uploaded so you can read it but in Work Watcher!

GRAVY TRAIN -: The low draw has been the place to be since the rain at Goodwood on Wednesday in the
straight races, this bigger field may force those drawn high up the stands rail, but until we see differently you
have to go primarily with the low draws. In that area I can only see GEORGE BOWEN ideally suited to conditions
and with a number of Bookies paying odds to 5th can see him placed from that berth in stall 5. He has yet to
really deliver on track what his connections think he has ability wise.There are so many drawn high to fear
like Lightning Charlie in particular and also Manshood, Pettochside; Goring and Tommy G and IF the draw
turned back to favouring high, the winner is in that lot but SCORCHING HEAT has a win in him in this type

of race and drawn in Stall 12 , he does have a little bit more flexibility in going far or stands side.

In the 2.25 SOLDIER IN ACTION has already proven a tough and durable, typical Johnston horse at 12 furlongs;
that tactical speed should see him prominent from stall 2 and if they get a blow in to him and the fractions right
he will be a very tough nut to get past, of the others Platitude and Saigon City look sure to run well, the O'Brien
horse could frankly be anything but GETBACK IN PARIS ticks all the right boxes for us and looks very solid.
