Day 3 was dominated by Frankie Dettori, how daft are those that wrote him off a few years ago?

 

The 4 timer meant that TURGENEV advised at 14/1 was backed in to 7/2, ran a great race and nothing lost in defeat, if you were on at 14/1 a nice e/w return. Shame that Aweedram was withdrawn, really fancied that one.

 

In the final race again nothing lost in narrow defeat by CONSTANTINOPLE and with Great Example a non runner, it left us with 2 gallant runners up and although the big priced punt on the Gold Cup failed, it was very speculative in its nature.
